Name Origins #23: Cormac McLaggen
omgharrypotter:
Cormac - Cormac is of Irish (Gaelic) origin meaning “charioteer.” Also means “son of defilement.” Cormac was the son of a King in Celtic legend. He was on a mission when he was put under a spell by a jealous lover of one of his competitors. Funny how Hermione puts Cormac under a spell during Quidditch tryouts so Ron can get on the team.
